Wareham in Bloom’s Objectives
To promote and beautify the ancient and historic market town of Wareham for our visitors and residents alike and to work with other partners in the community in order to achieve this.
To do our best to ensure Wareham is kept clean and tidy, free of litter and other unsightly mess and to encourage others to do likewise.
To encourage traders, business premises and others with premises in the town to provide hanging baskets, window boxes and planters.
To encourage community participation by private residents, schools and traders in the Wareham in Bloom initiative.
To actively plant up new areas with trees and other sustainable plants wherever possible and when the opportunity arises.
To encourage participation in the local Wareham in Bloom Competition and the Best kept Allotment Competition.
To participate in Regional and National In Bloom competitions.
To promote recycling initiatives throughout the town.
To promote flower growing as an aid to plant pollination, the practice of water conservation and the pursuit of healthy outdoor activity at Wareham’s two allotment sites.
